Online counselling

I often work online with clients. Online counselling via zoom means that we can see each other of course, it can suit you well if you spend time in different places or work abroad.

Perhaps you would prefer to talk in the privacy and comfort of your own home. You might prefer to have a counsellor who is at a distance from the community in which you live, outside of your immediate area.

Working online can also save time if you have a counselling session during your working day. Zoom is a safe and secure platform for counselling.

Online counselling as also really useful if you are a student and want face to face sessions when in Brighton and online sessions when you are either back at home or at uni depending on your home town/uni town.

While online therapy is a much newer form of therapy, current evidence suggests that for many people it can be just as effective as in-person therapy. Talking from the security of your own home may even make it easier for you to open up about your problems and issues. People sometimes find that they can go to a deeper level.

Online therapy means you don't have to travel anywhere to get the help you need, saving you time and money. This is also helpful if your mental health, mobility or other issues make it difficult to leave the house, or if you live in a remote area.

We can still work creatively online using Gestalt two chair techniques, art therapy and screen sharing to look at diagrams and strategies. You can see more on my blogpost about online counselling.
